Membership offers a range of benefits including: invitations to all Gallery activities, exhibition openings, public programs and events; the Friends’ artifacts newsletter, information about other arts-related events, and special excursions to visit other galleries and places of interest. Friends' functions and events offer artists the opportunity to meet other artists and supporters of the Gallery.

Guidelines for the submission of exhibition proposals

Artists of the Region - Community Access Exhibitions Program (CAEP)

The aim of the CAEP is to provide local artists with a professional venue for exhibitions of new work. To be eligible for consideration under the CAEP, individual applicants must be residents of Tweed, Kyogle, Lismore, Byron or Scenic Rim shires or Gold Coast City. In the case of group shows at least half the applicants must satisfy the residential requirement. Artists, both emerging and established, are encouraged to submit proposals according to the application guidelines: Community Access Exhibitions Program Guidelines (329kB PDF)

Each proposal received is carefully assessed by the Gallery’s Exhibitions Committee at scheduled meetings throughout the year. The number of exhibition slots available to CAEP applicants varies according to the Gallery’s major exhibition calendar.
