Border Art Prize 2020 Online Exhibition
8 May - 5 July 2020
The Border Art Prize supports the endeavours of artists living and working in the Tweed and surrounding shires. Open to all media and subject matter, the Prize attracts a wide variety of styles from both well-known and emerging artists, reflecting the region's lively artistic community. The Border Art Prize 2020 guest judge was Director of Grafton Regional Gallery Niomi Sands.
The $3000 first prize was awarded to Oksana Waterfall for The girl from Kyiv.
The $1500 second prize was awarded to Megan Puls for "SURGE" series.
The $500 third prize was awarded to Jenny Kitchener for Out of kilter.
The seven artists awarded Highly Commended were Michelle Dawson, John Pitt, Konstantina, Shannon Doyle, Tim Fry, Susan Jacobsen and Trish Tait.
First prize is funded by Tweed Shire Council. Second and third prizes are funded by the Friends of Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre Inc.
