The Border Art Prize supports the endeavours of artists living and working in the Tweed and surrounding shires. Open to all media and subject matter, the Prize attracts a wide variety of styles from both well-known and emerging artists, reflecting the region's lively artistic community. Artworks may be in any media, genre and style, as long as they satisfy size, weight and display restrictions (see entry terms and conditions).

Border Art Prize changes due to coronavirus

The Tweed Regional Gallery is resolute in our desire to offer regional artists a platform to show their artwork and celebrate their strength in adversity.

For this reason the Border Art Prize 2020 will be held as an online exhibition from 8 May – 5 July.

This means artists entering the Border Art Prize will not deliver their artworks to the Gallery but will submit a digital JPEG image via email instead.

The closing date for entries has been extended to 5pm Sunday 19 April and the entry fee has been reduced to $15.

Prize announcements will be made through social media channels from 5.00pm 9 May.
